Position: Program Coordinator, Homeless
Starting Salary: $4,202 to $4,633 per month, DOE, DOQ
Location: Community Health Department
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week); FSLA Exempt; Benefits Apply

Brief Duties and Responsibilities: Performs professional and technical work in the planning and administration of grant-funded services and services supported by local funding sources in Walla Walla County. Job requires collaboration with diverse groups, to include funding agencies at the State and/or Federal level Departments, Divisions or Administrations and local service providers, stakeholders, advisory boards or committees in the area of assigned programmatic responsibility. Requires sustained attention to detail, analytical and creative thought, and the ability to prioritize and work with a variety of issues at the same time. Working Conditions: The working environment includes activities in multiple department venues. Physical abilities required for this position are ones typically related to office and field operations; sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to twenty (20) pounds. Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computers, other office equipment, accessing file cabinets both on and off site, and sufficient hearing and speech ability to communicate verbally, and the ability to drive a motor vehicle.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Sciences, Social Services, Special Education, Business or Public Administration, or other closely related field, and training in interpersonal skills including effective communications. A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with programs for the homeless or those at risk of homelessness; or combination of education and experience which would provide the desired knowledge, skills and training to meet the requirements for the position.
