Position: Senior Residential Appraiser/Analyst
Salary Range: $4,486.00/month to $6,009.00/month Starting Salary DOQ, DOE
Location Assessor’s Office
Employment Type: Full-time (37.5 hours/week); FLSA non- exempt; Benefits Apply; Courthouse Union

Brief Duties and Responsibilities: Perform residential property appraisals and other related work. Requires experienced real property appraisal work by determining the value of residential property for tax assessment purposes. Work requires the employee to perform duties with relative independence in the normal course of determining and assigning construction class ratings and applying values to accessory improvements. This position performs strong sales studies and develops accurate market sales data that will be used in determining the final value of a property. Considerable contact with the property owner using strong interpersonal relational skills

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position is that of a lead worker and will determine work assignments and develop land values, ensuring land values are applicably applied to arrive at true market value. This position supervises a residential appraisal staff of three.

Working Environment/Physical Abilities: The majority of the time will be spent in the field. Must be able to work in all kinds of weather.

Minimum Qualifications: Education And Experience: Must have minimum one (1) year experience in residential appraisals. One (1) year of real estate, building construction, or office assessor work; OR substituting, on a month for month basis, any combination of experience, education, and training which would provide the level of knowledge and ability required.
Licenses And Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a motor vehicle required. Washington State Certified Appraisers Certificate required. Must maintain continued education requirements in accordance with RCW’s. Must be bondable.
